Every itinerary begins the same way — with a no-obligation consultation to understand your family's story and where it leads. From there, I'll agree the scope and hours with you, and give you a clear estimate before any work begins.
A village. A churchyard. Perhaps the dock where they sailed for North America. Rigorous research works back from you, one generation at a time, up to four generations back, to the places the records show your ancestors lived and worked. Where the records show a crossing, the itinerary includes the port they left from. The price covers one country (England, Wales, Scotland or Ireland) and up to five specific places, mapped into a day-by-day itinerary with addresses, directions and the sources behind each stop. A deeper, richer itinerary. Two countries, one journey. Rigorous research works back from you, one generation at a time, up to four generations back, to the places the records show your ancestors lived and worked. Where the records show a crossing, the itinerary includes the port they left from. The price covers up to two countries (England, Wales, Scotland or Ireland) and up to ten specific places, mapped into a day-by-day itinerary with addresses, directions and the sources behind each stop. When your journey runs beyond what the packages cover, with more places, more countries, a longer trip or a question entirely your own, it is scoped around a set number of hours and up to two research goals, agreed in your consultation.
